Historic Fort Hays Days

Living historians & artisans demonstrate military and civilian life at Fort Hays. Military displays from 1860 to present day. Ellis County Historical Society Museum will also demonstrate old fashioned toys on Friday. On Saturday, a pancake breakfast is sponsored by the Hays Lions Club from 7-10 am. Cost for the all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee is $4.00. Please call 785-625-6812 for specific details. Free admission.

Experience a fall pumpkin harvest on the farm. Enjoy a fall afternoon picking pumpkins and gourds and fall decorations, or just enjoying time in the country. Many family activities plus a hay bale maze, campfire cooking, fall decorations, unusual gourds, feed shocks & more. What started out over ten years ago as selling just a few pumpkins and shocks in the yard of the Kuhn family farm has grown each year to a become a popular weekend fall attraction. Several varieties of pumpkins are available, from large ones weighing over 200 pounds to mini-pumpkins and squash. Also available are fresh and dried gourds in a variety of shapes and sizes, feed shocks, straw bales, and milo. They have several decorated displays for the autumn season to take pictures, so bring a camera.
